Banned was a senior collection rooted in growing up in Iran, in the contradiction of living inside a culture that is ancient, expressive, and deeply alive, while being told constantly what you cannot wear, say, or be. The collection didn't try to explain that contradiction. It wore it. Persian carpet patterns printed and distorted across structured silhouettes. Farsi calligraphy fragmented and stitched into garments as both ornament and resistance. Eight looks built from sustainable materials, designed around the body as a site of identity, something that can be covered but never fully erased. The clothes hold the weight of where they came from.
